Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can see or delete it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose. No dense legal wording, no fine print designed to be skipped.

What we collect

Only what you give us or connect, and nothing more:

  • Your email address, used to sign you in. We never ask for or store a password.
  • The numbers you type in yourself: account balances, upcoming bills, your next payday.
  • If you connect a bank account, we read your transaction history through Plaid, a service built for this. We never see your bank username or password, and the token that lets us read your balance is encrypted before it's stored.
  • Anything you write in your personal reflections or Monthly Reflection notes.

Who can see it

Your reflections are private to you. Even someone else sharing your household in the app can't read them. Everything else in your household (balances, transactions, goals) is visible to anyone you've shared that household with, since that's the point of sharing it.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We don't share your financial information with anyone outside the services that make the app work (like Plaid, for bank connections, and our hosting and email providers).

Your control over it

Go to Settings → Privacy any time to download everything you've entered as a file, or to permanently delete your account. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
